Mr. M.N. Chaturvedi

Born on 07-08-1948 at Agra, Shri Munindra Nath Chaturvedi is one of the top most authorities on Civil Aviation security in India. His expertise in this field has been widely recognized by various national and international agencies. He did his Masters degree in Mathematics for St.Johns College in 1970 and B.Sc from Agra College. He also did a Diploma in Journalism 1982. He joined Intelligence Bureau in 1972 through an All India competition. He topped the batch of 38 candidates. He got promoted in year 1982 again passing an All India competition. He was a member of UN mission to Bosnia in 1999-2000 as member of International Peace Keeping mission. Later he got a medal for his services for this operation. He got Indian Police Medal for meritorious service in 1994. He was also awarded the President’s Medal for services in 2001. As Regional Deputy Commissioner, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, looking after aviation security arrangements for 23 airports in Northern India, he has the longest tenure at Delhi till his superannuation in August 2008. He also enjoys a rare distinction of being only Indian authorized by International Civil Aviation Organization to conduct Aviation Security Audits and only second person from SAARC countries. He was member of ICAO audit team for Aviation Security audits in Iran, Oman, Yemen, Bhutan and Bangladesh. After his retirement, he is giving his services as Advisor to Union Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India.
