Dr. Adish C. Aggarwala

Dr. Adish C. Aggarwala (Gold medalist and designated Senior Advocate) is Senior Central Government Counsel in the Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court and is a dynamic high profile lawyer, scholar, jurist and activist. Other current involvements include: President, International Council of Jurists; Chairman, All India Bar Association; Convener, Indian Council of Jurists; Vice-President, Supreme Court Bar Association; Vice-Chairman, Bar Council of Delhi; Additional Advocate General of Punjab in Supreme Court and Member, Academic Council, Chanakya National Law University, Patna. He has also held the coveted positions of Chairman, Disciplinary Committee of Bar Council of India; Member, Executive Council and General Council of National Law School of India University, Bangalore; Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh and Vice-Chairman of the Bar Council of India which is the apex statutory body of lawyers constituted under the Advocates Act, 1961. As in-charge of legal education in India, Dr. Aggarwala is credited with raising standards of legal education and has established 140 new law schools. He has been looking after the cases of Govt. of India as its Senior Counsel under the governance of eight different Prime Ministers. Dr. Aggarwala had been editor of and English fortnightly for twelve years. He has authored several leading publications. Dr. Aggarwala has widely traveled and has represented India in many international conference and seminars.
